These songs were on a split cd release with Florida's Cassettes On Fire. I'm not sure who approached who about doing the split, but we were overjoyed about it. COF played similar styled music as us and we just clicked on that same level. Very solid band/humans.
Our songs took a bit of a harder tone for this record. I'm not sure it was a conscious effort to be "harder" or if it was related to the on-goings in our lives at the time. I would say that these songs were the most different songs we wrote. That same CAI vibe is in there, but its a little more stretched out here.

"Hiatus" got it's name because our drummer, Eric, decided that he wanted to take a break from the band after we recorded these songs. I'm not sure I remember exactly why, but I can assume it was a mixture of family issues, loss, and confusion. It was a rough time for us all.
We used to have to travel to Dead Air in two seperate vehicles because we didn't have a van. On the way there Eric rode with me and out of the blue he told me he didn't want to take a break anymore and that the Hiatus was over before it started. We kept the song title but scratched the break.
